LPC-0604-07S-01E3 is a lately delivered slip ring model with 5-year production experience. This lately delivered order contains over 100 pieces of custom capsule slip rings. And production volume of this slip ring model is over 1000 pcs. This simulation turntable slip ring integrates 6 4A power channel, and its signal module integrates 1 100M Ethernet slip ring and 1 RS signal slip ring. The total length of this mini size rotary joint is 42mm with a diameter of 20mm. The parameter is 2mm smaller than the standard slip ring with 6 2A channels. In short, it is a powerful integrated capsule slip ring. To facilitate installation on the rotary platform, the channel outlets are on the flank of the slip ring unit on stator side. Take the integrated slip rings with 2 hydraulic pneumatic channels for example, the most frequently adopted solution is one that join the rotary union with electrical slip ring. LPPL000-0620-E2-02A is a representative integrated slip ring model. There are 6 20A power channel and 1 100M Ethernet channel, and 2 hydraulic pneumatic channels. The fluid and gas channels can transmit compressed air in 10Bar. The slip ring is expected to take up horizontal installation. Client can demand protection grading up to IP67.

Aside from the two-module design, there is another structure where electrical signal module and the hydraulic pneumatic module share the same rotor but have an independent stator respectively. This type of slip ring has advantages in strength of structure and impact endurance. Some integrated models have been put into practice. LPT000-1010-02E3-02A and LPT090-0615-0405-E2-02A are two typical model with Ethernet signal capacity and meantime transmit fluid and gas.

Among integrated hydraulic pneumatic slip rings, those with single channel for gas and fluid are with the simplest structure. This can be done by installing a rotary union within the through bore of a hollow shaft slip ring. LPT000-0340-13S-01A, LPT000-0104-E2-01A and LPT000-01A-0803-12S-04GND are very mature models of such type.

Technical Introduction of JINPAT USB Slip Rings and Ethernet Signal Slip Rings

In the age of electronic and mechanical integration, there are increasing numbers of equipment and devices that adopt computer signal like USB signals and Ethernet signals. And as a key component that allowing connecting joints rotate while transmitting signal and power at the same time, slip rings are made to fulfill such mission on the electromechanical system.

However, in most cases, slip ring with sole capability to transmit USB signals and Ethernet signals is not enough. So integrated slip rings that can mix transmit different signals are invented. Aside from common electric signals, USB2.0 and USB3.0 are typical integration. Some slip ring can integrate USB1.0. Similarly, Gigabit Ethernet and 100M Ethernet can also be integrated transmit. And there is also slip ring solution that combine both USB signals and Ethernet signals.

Let’s look at USB1.0 integrated slip ring, it is coded LPMS-12U-0701-U2-U1. The working voltage is 48V and there is 1 USB2.0 channel and 1 USB1.0 channel. Another 7 1A power channels. From the coding, it is a revised model based on LPMS-12 standard super miniature slip rings. Therefore, it has the same inner structure and size as standard slip ring model. With an outer diameter of 6.5mm and a length of 17.4mm. It is one of JINPAT’s smallest USB2.0 slip ring models. LPMS-05D is even a smaller product.

Compared to USB1.0 slip ring, USB2.0 slip ring has wider applications. Our JINPAT team has developed a USB2.0 slip ring with 8 channels. This is the most multi-channel product of JINPAT slip ring. However, the transmission capacity of 8-channel USB2.0 slip ring is not comparable with USB3.0 slip ring. LPC-30A-0602-01U3-01U2 and LPC-30T-1402-01U2-01U3-E2 are typical slip ring model that transmit both USB2.0 and USB3.0 signals.

The features of Ethernet signals make them very practical for large structure. LPT000-1016-0202-02E3-03U2 is a typical large volume slip ring that integrates USB3.0 signal. The integrated USB3.0 part is installed within the through bore structure.

JINPAT Capsule Slip Rings Multi-Functional Slip Ring Series

JINPAT Capsule slip rings are the series with the smallest size, meantime, they have the largest annual production volume. And according to the diameter, the series can be further divided into 3 groups, medium size LPC capsule slip rings (diameter above 20mm), mini size LPM miniature slip rings (diameter between 12.5~20mm) and super mini size LPMS super miniature slip ring (diameter less than 10mm). There are approximately three hundred models in this compact size series. For their great adaptability, they can be installed in many electromechanical systems and the capsule slip rings are highly versatile.

Let’s begin with our smallest slip ring models, LPMS-05D and LPMS-08D, their diameter is the same, 5.5mm, with a total weight no more than 10g. They are the slip ring models with the smallest diameter and the lightest weight. Their annual production volume exceeds 10 thousand pieces. And these super miniature slip rings are adaptable for various application end. Some college students and research experts tend to install these slip rings on some testing equipment. Of course, the two mini-size slip rings are mostly applied in commercial electronic devices.

JINPAT LPM miniature slip ring is slightly larger than the LPMS super miniature slip ring. And with a larger volume, the LPM slip ring can integrate 30 channels at max. The slip ring models of this branch tend to have a diameter between 12.5mm and 16mm. Similar to the former mentioned slip rings, the LPM-18 series, with 18 channels, has a relatively large production volume. JINPT miniature slip rings can be installed in total station, photoelectric pod and other precision optical equipment. And some high end medical devices also need electrical slip ring with compact size and excellent electronic performance.

And the LPC capsule slip ring series is a collection of slip ring with diameter above 20mm. And the most popular model is also with 18 channels, the LPC-18 branch. They are electrical slip rings that can fit in various electronic devices. A typical case is the application on surveillance camera that oversees the factories and schools.

And among JINPAT capsule slip rings, there are many models with over 30 channels. For the number of channels, they have, they can be installed in automated production machines. And since the production volume reduces as the channel numbers increase, JINPAT LPC-56 has less application case.
