JINPAT’s new electro-optical pod slip ring

Electro-optical pods are devices that integrate various technologies such as optics, electronics, mechanics, etc.,commonly used in aerospace, military surveillance, ship navigation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and other fields. As a rotating component integrating optical sensors, cameras, lidars, etc., many electro-optical pod devices require slip rings for power, signal, and data transmission. JINPAT, as an international expert in electro-optical pod slip rings, has developed several high-quality products for this field.

 

Recently, JINPAT customized a new type of integrated capsule electro-optical pod slip ring for a customer. This product adopts an optical-electrical integrated design; by integrating optical fibers with electrical slip rings, it exhibits synergistic performance in transmitting optical signals and power and data signals, providing comprehensive connectivity support for electro-optical pod devices. Considering the actual application environment, this slip ring also features low-temperature resistance, capable of operating in harsh cold environments, ensuring stable and reliable performance even at -40°C; it uses high-strength aluminum alloy housing, ensuring lightweight design of the product while possessing excellent corrosion resistance and shock resistance, suitable for various complex environments.

 

In addition, a representative product of this electro-optical pod slip ring series is the LPC-3402-46S-HD01 model, which has 46 signal channels and 1 high-definition signal channel. Signal channels use twisted pair cables, shielded cables, and dedicated cables, while the power ring is connected to fluorine-coated wires externally.

 

Meanwhile, JINPAT’s ultra-miniature electro-optical slip rings can adapt to various demanding mounting platforms,such as the groundbreaking LPMS-44S model, with a diameter of 16mm and a reduced length of 23mm. This means that the thickness of each copper ring plus insulating sheet in this slip ring does not exceed 0.5mm, which places it at the forefront of slip ring technology and showcases JINPAT ‘ strength in the field of electro-optical pod slip rings.
